Touch Me Softer
by Rosemary Ellis

"While Textile Illustration holds a significant place in my life, I wear many hats."
Rosemary Ellis (they/them) practices within the mediums of Rug Tufting, Poetry, Animation, Illustration, Sound Design, and Audio Engineering. Their work often discusses ideas of self reflection, human connection, and chasing a state of independence, while incorporating wordplay, double entendres, and the silliness of what surrounds us. Each piece has it's own strong visual language, blending hallucinatory humor with dark heartache and yearning.
"Through the synthesis of my diverse mediums, my goal is to create works that are not only melodious and aesthetically pleasing but also thought-provoking. I hope to remind the audience their seemingly mundane- yet crucial during most seasons- household item can be more than a place to wipe their muddy boots."
